January has been a slow month

January has been a slow month. Jeff and I took two days off of work, contemplated our situation, and enjoyed a nice long weekend to relax and catch up on the things we needed to do.

In respect to confidentiality, we are unable to discuss the details of our work status on the blog (sorry!). So here is the general update - we were both asked to stay on later than expected. We both felt a sense of relief in knowing we've got more time to add to our savings. Now we can start planning and re-prioritizing our goals for the year. We're trying to stay positive throughout it all and just keep in mind all the possibilities that are in our future.

Thank you to all of you who have expressed your concern and of course we'll keep posting the news as we live it.

So now it's back to life as usual. Wake up the chickens, give them some snacks, get some eggs! (we've only been getting about 1 egg/day these last few weeks) Make sure our kitties are ok - we've decided to trim Mira's nails to see if that will help with her climbing (she climbs everything and has made a habit of pulling apart our furniture), knock out the dishes, start the laundry, take out the trash and compost( http://naturemill.com/), make some bread ( http://www.motherearthnews.com/Real-Food/Artisan-Bread-In-Five-Minutes-A-Day.aspx).
Life is good.
